Nature’s Educational Laboratory of American Samoa (NELAS) provided place-based activities during the Department of Education’s (DOE) STEAM UP Friday event on July 22, 2022, held at the Tafuna Elementary School Gym. NELAS presented on the topics of Sea Turtles and Mangroves and Fauna. Each student made a Sea Turtle’s Life Cycle bracelet and a mini diorama of a Mangrove and Fauna. Ninety-eight students attended our sessions.
